Concert Season 2013 officially started for us yesterday, and to kick it off we went to see Garbage at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia, its the same venue where last year we saw Scissor Sisters, we got ther a bit late and were lucky to grab the last spot at a $10 dll parking lot, the other one cost $20 dlls. 10 dlls equals almost 2 beers so i was happy,

Last time we were there they were checking your IDs at the entrance and were selling beer on the main floor i guess Scissor Sisters is not a PG13 show, and this time they were minors at the main floor and booze was only served at the second floor which made us have to decide, do we want to drink and be further from the show or stay sober and close to the stage (we had a pretty decent spot) incredibly the alcoholic in me lost this one and we stayed sober near the stage. we did not have to wait a lot. though; the band came out at around 9, I must say I was pretty impressed with how Shirley Manson looked,  though I do like them it was my girlfriend who bought the tickets I would not have bought them. she has had a crush on Shirley Manson since they started, so when she came out she looked exactly as i remember her on her videos in the 90’s, true make up lighting and a bit a distance must have helped but all in all she looked pretty good, which got me thinking that maybe she very young when Garbage started and maybe she was 5 years older than me or something,  a quick trip to wikipedia revealed that she is 46, so wow. and here voice sounded pretty good too.

Most of the songs i knew which means that they sung mostly from their hit collection which for me was great i hate when artists try to force feed you their latest record,  and you are like: “What the crap what are these songs”.

So mostly a good experience at one point i was trying to record a video of the concert to post it here, but the guy in front of me doing the white man’s overbite (pictured)

…decided to lift up his arm and completely blocked my view.

When the concert was over we decided to splurge the $10 we saved on parking and not drinking on the nearest McDonald, so we went to the located on Market St. Let me tell you my dear readers this was not the 5 star McDonalds you all are used to, no sir, this one had an attitude, baths were blocked by the trash cans, and there was a message there saying that “this mcdonalds locks the bathrooms” please ask an employee for assistance, there was also another one sayind that loitering  was not allowed there and paying customers had 20 minutes to eat, so we did our best to finished before being kicked out and drove back home.
